This group directed by Miikka Vikkula, uses molecular genetic approaches to identify genes and mutations causing inherited human disorders. The unit is especially interested in the identification of the molecular mechanisms leading to vascular anomalies, cardiopathies, cleft lip and palate, and certain neurological tumors.
