- 19.30 - 11 h Nocturne in the brewery "Straffe Hendrik" . The Noctune includes drinks, a dinner and visit of the brewery museum, followed by typical medieval entertainment with games in which the participants will be actively involved.

Brewery Straffe Hendrik, Walplein 26 : this brewery, already mentioned in 1546, produces "Straffe Hendrik" : an excellent, highly fermented beer with malt, hops and special yeast as main ingredients. The spacious and cosy tap-room is as good a place as any to try the beer. During one of the guided visits you will learn more about production methods and the history of the brewery
This scientific meeting will take place just before the week-end of Ascencion Day and thus will be an excellent opportunity to combine work with pleasure and extend your visit to Belgium with a small holiday.
On Thursday June 1st, the day following the meeting, the" Procession of the Holy Blood" is taking place in Bruges. This event which dates back to 1291, always takes place on Ascension Day. Tickets should be ordered well in advance (toerisme@brugge.be).
