Members of the MC are expected to take a pro-active role in the dissemination of information about Action events and reports. All members of the MC will be linked by e-mail. It will be the responsibility of the MC members for each country to maintain and update a list of key laboratories/scientists in that country and ensure that the list is available to other members of the MC. MC members will be responsible for ensuring that those interested in the COST Action are aware of activities and reports.
Mailing list: <costb22_at_icp.ucl.ac.be>
A WebSite will be established at the beginning of the COST Action on which all activities will be posted. Links will be established to other related Sites (e.g. to WHO/TDR, EC Programmes, other COST Actions).
A notice board will be provided for comments on activities, job adverts, techniques, and requests for materials.
Reports from all Meetings organised by the COST Action will be submitted to the Management Committee for approval and consideration of subsequent actions. It is anticipated that the Reports will take one of four forms:
a. An analytical review of the subject area (the previous COST B9 published reviews in peer reviewed international journals)
b. An overview of progress made in the area (a report on a COST B9 Congress was published in an international journal)
c. A report with Action points for Circulation to both the MC and a wider audience outside the COST Action
d. A report with Action points for Circulation to the MC and those who attended the Workshop when issues considered to be sensitive to drug development, for example patent issues, are discussed. The phrasing and legal standing of Confidentiality Agreements will be established through EC officials prior to these meetings.
The preparation of expert documents is considered to be an important component of the activity of the COST Action. The documents will provide up-to-date information and critical comments upon drug issues that may assist National and International Agencies in policy decisions and focus of future financial support from and the participation of the Pharmaceutical Industry.
