Who is eligible as a member and how to become a member of the Society ?

The Belgian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology is one of the largest and most active scientific societies of Belgium. It has a membership of over 1000 normal members, active in the area of the sciences, medicine, pharmacy, agriculture, veterinary medicine etc., which are associated with either academic institutions, institutes of higher education, institutes of biomedical research or in the private sector.

Membership of the Society is open to all people, Belgians and non-Belgians, having completed a higher education in one of the areas covered by the society. Candidate members submit their candidature via a form that has to be signed by the candidate and by two supporting members of the Society. The new candidature will be submitted to the General Assembly of its members that will normally be held in February or March each year. After acceptance of the candidate by the Assembly a membership fee of 25 Euro by normal bank transfer, will be asked. Immediately after submission of the candidature the candidate will start receiving all mailings by the Society.
